Real belonging.

In fact, I bet you've seen this room of belonging in your mind's eye.

I don't just mean any room I mean the room of your dreams filled with fascinating, smart, huge hearted women who totally get you.

Friends, real friends. Growth, real growth. A place where you love yourself more just because you're you and because of who you're becoming.

Because we don't become who we are by staring at a screen all alone.

We become in a tribe.

We become who we are in the middle of a conversation when everything clicks and you see your life differently.

We become who we are in friendship when something inside of us settles and we realize hey, I'm awesome.

It's when we find our people, our community, unexpectedly, that the room appears. The place where you feel not just safe but more yourself somehow.

Oh my goodness. In those rooms we tell the truth. We are challenged. We are inspired and supported. We are seen and we are celebrated.

THE BEST PARTY I EVER HAD

I was thirteen years old, asleep in my attic bedroom when there was a knock at the door.

In walked an older girl from my neighborhood. Behind her trailed four of my classmates in their pajamas.

"Wake up" they said "It's a come as you are a party. Brush your teeth, throw on a robe and get in the car.

An electric spark of delight shot through my body as I jumped out of bed. I was giddy! Confused, yes! But totally delirious with happiness. I barely knew those girls from my school but in that moment we became one. We got in the car and drove around picking up other girls until at last we landed in the leaders living room where she had breakfast all laid out.

We sat on the living room floor, pajamas and all. We ate, talked, and  laughed with abandon and it was the best party I ever had.

No fancy outfit.

No preparation.

No performance.

You simply showed up exactly as you were.

Something happens when people stop trying to be impressive and start being real.

It's magical.

I've never forgotten that.

You may argue with me but after decades of coaching, teaching, mentoring, leading retreats, building communities, and sitting with women in every stage of life, here's what I've learned.

The deepest growth happens when we're relaxed, not when we're performing.

Not when we're trying to be the most healed, the most spiritual, the most put together version of ourselves.

It's when when we have a rare moment of honesty and ease.
The DNA of intimacy and true healing.

I honestly don't think that people know how awesome our humanity is. How endearing our imperfections are. How vast our soul is. How much we all need each other. How important human connection is.

A room where we have conversations that matter.

A room where personal growth is natural and inevitable.

A room curated with topics that are rich in wisdom, Torah, womanhood and mission.
